Aaron Schab
Aaron Schab grew up working on the family farm in south central Idaho, raising livestock and a variety of crops while also spending time exploring Idaho’s open country. There he developed his love for being outside, growing things, caring for animals, and living on the land in the most sustainable and regenerative ways possible. Aaron first moved to Moscow in 1994 to attend the University of Idaho and returned from a stint in Seattle to start a new life on the Palouse with Melinda in 2002. Aaron and Melinda are longtime supporters of PCEI’s mission, but first became directly involved when their three children were small and attended events and field trips at the PCEI Nature Center as well as volunteer opportunities (stream cleanups and trail builds). Aaron is a senior instructor in the University of Idaho English Department who spends his spare time tending to the backyard chickens and compost pile, growing food and flowers, and enjoying music and good food with family and friends.
