Ariel Mack, Palouse Roots Coordinator

I was fortunate to attend the largest Waldorf school on the East Coast for all twelve years of my elementary education. The school was part of a vibrant Waldorf community that included a teacher-training center, a self-sufficient fellowship community with biodynamic farms, and a Camphill community. In many ways, that community has continued to inspire my life. Throughout my career, I have pursued my interests in art, design, architecture, social and environmental policy, indigenous sovereignty, and early childhood education. Since having my own children, I have immersed myself in learning more about childhood and the Waldorf way of nurturing their growing bodies and minds. I have participated in various early childhood trainings, workshops, and conferences, and I continue to seek mentorship and professional development opportunities. My teaching experience encompasses traditional early education settings, Waldorf-inspired outdoor education as an art director and a Waldorf forest school teacher, teaching at a Montessori/Waldorf/Nature school, and homeschooling my own children. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, enjoying the slow pace of staying home, being present in our moments together, reading, enjoying nature, and every creative outlet I can work into my busy life.

We are available to meet for a guided tour of our Nature Center and Palouse Roots site on program days between 10:00am and 12:30pm. Please contact us by phone at 208-310-7077 or by email at info@palouseroots.org.
