Summer Storytime Series – 2016

PCEI’s Summer Storytime Series features weekly guests from the community to read a book about the natural world followed by fun outdoor activities at the PCEI Nature Center. The 2016 series took place 10:00am – noon on Tuesdays from June 14th- August 30th, 2016 (except the week of July 4th).

The 2016 guest readers and books included:

  • 6/21: PCEI Storytime Co-Coordinator Carolyn Adam reading River Song
  • 6/28: Nancy Chaney reading about dirt and the food chain
  • 7/12: Sandye Crooks with Moscow Recycling reading Why Should I Recycle? and I Can Save the Earth
  • 7/19: Mayor Bill Lambert reading Stellaluna
  • 7/26: Miss Latah County Abbey Maureen reading about butterflies
  • 8/2: Christina Radmacher reading Hands Are Not for Hitting
  • 8/9: PCEI Environmental Education Specialist Intern Amy Kaucic reading Where Do Mountain Come From, Momma?
  • 8/16: Sandra Kelly and local artist Bobbi Kelly reading about turtles
  • 8/23: Sandra Kelly and local artist Bobbi Kelly (book to be determined)
  • 8/30: University of Idaho graduate student Laura Jenkins reading about fish

Hours:

The Palouse Nature Center and Rose Creek Nature Preserve are open to visitors 7 days a week, dawn to dusk. Office hours vary due to the nature of our work. Please call or email if you need to meet with a staff person.
