Overview
Tammany Creek is located just outside Lewiston, Idaho and flows directly into the Snake River. The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality in cooperation with local stakeholders developed the Tammany Creek Total Maximum Daily Load in order to assess the water quality in the watershed. PCEI restoration projects were designed as a result of the TMDL assessment to help reduce pollutants loads in the watershed. PCEI is working with private landowners to re-slope and stabilize eroding banks, install riparian fencing, install hardened stream crossings and create wetlands to help filter overland flows.
