How do animals prepare for the cold and changing seasons? Find out as we read the book "When Winter Comes". We'll also explore the concepts of adaptation, migration, and hibernation through interactive activities.
The Winter Solstice is the longest night of the year. We will mark the arrival of winter with an astronomy hike, poetry writing, and bonfire sing-a-longs!
In honor of Martin Luther King Jr., this month's Seasonal Wanderings will focus on social equality and healthy environments. Children and families will explore their own dreams for a better world through an art project, storytelling, and a kid-centered service project.
