Sustainability Series #1 — Food to Fertilizer: Full Circle Composting

Food to Fertilizer is all about turning organic waste into nutrient rich, carbon-negative compost that will enhance any garden, landscape, or potted plants into a thriving ecosystem. We will be discussing what is compost, both household and industrial composting systems, the do’s and don’ts, and how to use it. Information on local composting opportunities will be shared including a tour of PCEI’s various composting systems. Guest speakers will include Latah Sanitation Inc., who offer free compost to city and county residents. 

All attendees get the chance to decorate and take home their own compost bucket as well as enter to win a countertop composter. Families and individuals are encouraged to attend and snacks as well as alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks will be provided by the Moscow Food Co-op and Moscow Alehouse.
