Seasonal Wanderings Family Series: Owl Moon

January 22, 2016 @ 6:30 pm-8:00 pm

Free

Owl Moon will be our first Seasonal Wanderings Family Series event of 2016. Last year, this event was so popular we had to do it twice. Don’t miss your chance to get in on this year’s fun!

After a reading of Jane Yolen’s Owl Moon, we will learn what it takes to go “owling.” Putting our new skills to work, we will look and listen for Great Horned Owls as they search for their mates around the Nature Center. As the book tells us, sometimes there’s an owl, and sometimes there isn’t. Tonight, though, we are proud to say we can guarantee owl sitings– thanks to the WSU Raptor Club who will finish out the evening with a real-live owl presentation.

Remember to:

  1. Dress warmly for the event (think layers!)
  2. Bring a flashlight!

UPDATE: Owl Moon is FULL! Registrants received emails to let them know if they were in or not. If you are still unsure of the status of your registration, call the Nature Center at 208-882-1444

Make check out our upcoming opportunities! These events fill up quickly so please register early!
