Join Josephine Stevenson, certified viticulturalist, for a grape pruning workshop and skills practice this Saturday, March 29th at 1:00pm at the Palouse Nature Center (1040 Rodeo Dr., Moscow). You’ll learn the correct way to prune grapes, and then practice your skills on the grape vines growing at the Nature Center.

There’s no cost to join the workshop, but donations are appreciated. If possible, let us know you’re coming by emailing info@pcei.org (but showing up on the day of is ok as well). Please come dressed for the weather. See you there!

From Josephine:
My name is Josephine Stevenson! I was born and raised here in Moscow and have a special affinity for this area. Whether that is a product of living here for a long time or because the Palouse is just that amazing, I’ll never know. I started to become interested in agriculture about a decade or so ago and began working on various farms and vineyards in the area. My husband and I eventually moved to Walla Walla where I was planning on getting a degree in winemaking but low and behold, I received an AAS in plant and soil science and a certificate and viticulture instead. It was just so much more fun to be outside! While I don’t currently have a garden of my own I hope to still be able to integrate into the fantastic community and knowledge of our own local growers.
