Earth Month Stream Restoration Site Planting

Saturday, April 12 @ 10:00 am 2:00 pm

Help Restore a Local Ecosystem with PCEI!

Join the Palouse-Clearwater Environmental Institute (PCEI) in connecting people to place through a meaningful volunteer opportunity!

Here’s how you can participate:

  • Date: April 12th
  • Time: Choose a two-hour time slot from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm, or stay for the whole event!
  • Location: 1120 Big Meadow Rd, Troy, ID 83871

The Impact:

Together, we’ll be planting native trees and shrubs at an ecologically important local site: Big Meadow Creek in Troy, ID. Under the guidance of PCEI AmeriCorps Restoration Team, you will help plant native trees and shrubs along Big Meadow Creek to stabilize degraded stream banks, provide shade for aquatic species, and improve both on-site and downstream water quality. These plantings will enhance vital fish habitat, creating a lasting impact on the Palouse ecosystem.

Our ambitious goal is to plant approximately 3,000 native plants at this site. We rely on community support to achieve this impactful objective. Businesses, clubs, student groups, and other organizations are encouraged to roll up their sleeves and contribute to a greener Palouse!

Please register on our Give Pulse site if possible.
