Olivia Alexander, Summer Storytime Intern (Summer 2013)
Olivia is a Moscow High School junior and very active in school activities, including the MHS Environmental Club. She loves kids and is excited to help them make new discoveries and spend time outdoors.
Patrick Johnson, Sustainability Intern (Summer 2013)
Patrick is a 2012 graduate of the University of Kentucky with a degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Science. He was born and raised in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Kentucky in a log cabin built by his father along the banks of the Licking River. He has a deep passion for attempting to help create a more just planet that prioritizes environmental justice and societal equity, and has very recently moved to the Palouse to attend the University of Idaho College of Law. In his spare time he enjoys hiking and fishing, and has already fallen in love with northern Idaho and all of its organisms (including the wonderful people). Patrick was appointed to the City of Moscow’s Sustainable Environment Commission in September 2013. He hopes to one day use his law degree to contribute to progressive land-use decisions in the region.
Krissy Lindsay, Developmental Intern (Summer 2013)
Krissy grew up in Spokane, WA and attends the University of Idaho where she will be receiving her undergraduate degrees in Environmental Science and Journalism with a minor in Environmental Communications. After graduation, she hopes to move to a larger city in the Pacific Northwest and work with more non-profit environmental organizations. Within these organizations, she would mainly like to work on public relations and fundraising. Krissy spent a lot of time with her family backpacking, biking and ski racing as well as many summers hiking in Glacier National Park where her family has a lake cabin on Lake McDonald.
Amy Wright, Public Relations Intern (Summer 2013)
Amy, a recent graduate from the Evergreen State College, is a Pullman native. She joined PCEI in hopes of expanding her knowledge, not only of photography, graphic design, and multimedia programs but also in hopes of learning more about sustainable architecture, agriculture, and food systems. She intends to help spread environmental knowledge and expose PCEI’s work to a broader community. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, writing music, and hanging out with her friends, family, and dog (especially in the great outdoors).
