Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging
Charge at the Palouse Nature Center
The Palouse Nature Center now boasts an electric vehicle charging station featuring three chargers! This convenient station welcomes electric vehicles 24/7 and allows users to enjoy the beautiful surroundings while charging.
The cost of charging is donation based and determined by the user. It costs PCEI about $1/hour per vehicle to operate this service. Payment may be made securely online with a credit or debit card. Alternatively, cash or checks can be deposited in our friendly “donation frog” across the parking lot.
Our Level 2 station features three Tesla Destination Chargers, two of which are equipped with J1772 adapters. This allows for a maximum output of up to 11.5 kilowatts per hour of charging, or with the provided J1772 adapters, the maximum output is 9.6 kilowatts.
While your car charges, immerse yourself in nature! Explore the stunning trails of the Palouse Nature Center (view the map here), enjoy a peaceful picnic under the trees, or simply soak in the fresh air.
