Sustainability Series: Mend It!

Our first Sustainability Series event was so successful, and we’re really looking forward to our next event, Mend It! We’re partnering with the UI Apparel, Textile, and Design Department, who will be doing mini-mending workshops and teaching basic sewing skills to fix any clothing that you bring to the event. Thanks to Patagonia for donating the mending workshop supplies! Additionally, we’re holding a swap and drop—free to donate and/or take what you want! Student Sustainability Cooperative will be presenting on the effects of fast fashion, sustainable living, and tips and tricks for eco-friendly living. There will be a raffle for a sustainable laundry kit, and the first 25 attendees will get a free mini-mending kit.

Let us know if you’re interested in coming by signing up on our Give Pulse site, or feel free to just show up at the event! Note: nearby parking is free after 5:00pm, and the event will take place in the ISUB Whitewater Room. Start gathering your clothes that need mending, and we’ll see you there!
