Spotted Fawns Summer Picnic
We had so much fun at Spotted Fawns during the school year that we’re continuing this free storytime and nature play program throughout the summer! Kids of all ages and their parent/guardian are invited to drop in to any or all of the Spotted Fawns Summer Picnics. We’ll meet every other Monday at 10:30am at the Palouse Nature Center beginning June 30th. Come for the event, and bring a lunch or snack if you’d like to stay for a picnic!

Summer Yoga in the Pavilion
We are grateful to Erin Mack, who reached out to offer yoga in the Pavilion after hearing about the recent AmeriCorps cuts and the impact on PCEI. She is generously donating all proceeds from her classes to us—wow! 🌟 Summer yoga classes will be held weekly on Saturday mornings from 9:00-10:00am, and will run through the end of September. The suggested donation is $10-$20/class, and can be paid with cash or check, through Venmo, or online at pcei.org/donate.
Erin has been practicing yoga for about 20 years, and is a certified teacher. On the Saturdays she isn’t available, other teachers will step in to lead class. There’s something magical about practicing yoga outside in nature, so join us for one or all of the Saturdays this summer! No registration is needed, just drop in anytime with a yoga mat (and props if you have them). Many thanks, Erin! 🧘

On Friday, August 15th, join us for an upbeat, fun evening of North Eastern Brazilian music with Palouse Forro! Hunga Dunga is providing drinks, and SushiMan will be serving dinner. Keep reading to find out why we're asking you to bring used athletic shoes to this event! 😊
Special thank you to Vote Julia Parker for sponsoring this event! Julia is a current Moscow City Council member, and is running for reelection. At this event, she is fundraising for the Moscow High School Cross Country Team. The MHS cross country team and coaches captured Julia’s heart in the four years her daughters participated (2020-2024). She continues to be in awe of these amazing young athletes. As a member of Moscow City Council, Julia feels the MHS cross country team embodies the community spirit that makes Moscow special. The MHS cross country is a small team that benefits greatly from community fundraisers. Because of the small team size and the lack of expensive equipment needed, a little fundraising goes a long way. The MHS cross country team regularly practices on PCEI’s trails.
Bring your used shoes! Julia will be collecting used athletic shoes at Pubbin' (running, tennis, basketball, walking, rubber cleats). These will be bagged and sent to the re-use/recycling program Got Sneakers. Got Sneakers pays $1 to $7 per pair of shoes depending on condition. All shoes that can’t be reused will be recycled! We will also be taking donations (checks, cash) to the Moscow High School Cross Country team.
Pubbin' on the Patio is free and open to the public. See you there!
