At PCEI, we couldn’t do what we do without volunteers, particularly our interns. This dedicated group of individuals provides additional support to our pillars of learning, serving, restoring and living. We are grateful for the time and enthusiasm they put forth. Their contributions help propel the mission of PCEI. In return, we do our best to offer guidance and provide direction for their current interests and future careers.
Kenzie Collins, Palouse Roots Intern
My name is Kenzie and I am a senior at WSU, majoring in human development, and minoring in psychology. In the future, I hope to become a pediatric occupational therapist, combining my passions for health and working with kids. I am also currently working at the WSU greenhouses, helping out with plant growth research. I love being outdoors, and particularly enjoy hiking, camping, and paddleboarding.
Amy Harman, Palouse Roots Intern
I was born in Renton, Washington and moved around when I was younger due to my dad’s career as an Iron worker. I transferred to the University of Idaho after a year at Central Washington University. My husband and I met at the University of Idaho and got married April 2022. I graduated in May of 2020 with my degree in wildlife resources and have been in Moscow ever since. I am passionate about the environment and all the creatures that get to call this amazing planet home. Beyond school life, I am an avid hiker, reader, and crafter. Whether it’s hiking to new locations or reading a new book, I find joy in experiencing new environments and challenging myself to learn something new every day.
