Moscow High School 10th grade students join PCEI staff and Moscow Water Department employees for a walk to and tour of the Moscow Water Department. Students see for themselves where our city water comes from, how it moves from our aquifer to the treatment center, and how the water is treated once there.
The Great Moscow Water Debate takes place in the classroom immediately following this field trip. Using the information they learned at the Water Department, students will have to think critically about water usage by different stakeholders in the community and how one might go about convincing them to implement water-wise action and conservation techniques.
Our teachers had this to say about our field trip!
